Cogs & Clockwork – 2026 Fergus Steampunk Festival

Saturday September 12th, from 10am-10pm
Location: Downtown Fergus ON, St Andrew Street (Saturday only) and Menzies Lane (Friday night & all day Saturday)
Cogs & Clockwork, Fergus Steampunk Festival, is for all those interested in the unique science fiction sub-genre of steampunk!
This FREE, family-friendly event aims to introduce and share the creativity of the steampunk community and to show locals and guests a truly wonderful time!
Show is free with some paid events.
What's New for 2026?
This year we will be hosting Hamster Fighting (not real hamsters)
Friday night and Saturday night Night Market on Menzies Lane
Outdoor Theatre featuring short animation submissions
Colouring Contest at the Fergus Library
"Elemental Sprocket" Concert featuring both John Sprocket from The Cog is Dead as well as Professor Elemental
"Cogs Cash" , Festival funds that can be won at various events like the fashion show and spent at vendors and participating shops in downtown Fergus.
Robot Road where Sheridan College and other robots and props will be displayed as well as a costume repair area.
The Clockwork Conundrum treasure hunt will be taking place on the Saturday afternoon, build a custom Lego mini figure by solving riddles throughout the shops of downtown Fergus.
We are doing an 14 and under fashion show and a 15 and over show this year instead of two open shows

Parking
There are five municipal parking lots located in downtown Fergus:
St George Street W across from Fergus Curling Club (vendor parking lot A)
St George Street W at the Fergus Curling Club (vendor parking lot b)
Provost Lane at St Patrick Street West - 3 hour parking
Menzies Lane behind the Fergus Public Library - 3 hour parking
Queen Street West behind the Fergus Market Place - 3 hour parking
Shuttle Buses
To help with parking there will be a shuttle bus traveling from the corner of Beaty Line and St. Andrew St. then heading to AO Smith Parking lot then to downtown to drop guests off at the festival. Shuttles will be running frequently until 5pm then less so after 5pm ending at 8pm.
